Meet JoAnn –
Animals have always been my way of life. I grew up with Great Danes and later cared for my own pets as an adult. I started at the Humane Society and went on to serve the City of Ormond Beach as an animal control officer, retiring as supervisor. Over the years I completed numerous trainings and seminars to stay up to date on domestic and wildlife care. In my spare time I love hiking and beach walks with my dog and tending my garden, watching nature grow and blossom. I bring experienced, compassionate care to every pet I watch.

I grew up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and spent 30 years building and running three restaurants — a career that taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to care for people. After selling our last restaurant post‑COVID, my husband and I semi‑retired to Palm Coast and immediately fell in love with this slower, sunnier life.
These days I split my time working with seniors and working with Steve to care for pets in our community. I’ve always had dogs and now share our home with three beloved fur babies. I bring the same warmth, reliability, and calm problem‑solving from my restaurant days to pet care: clear communication with owners, careful routines, and a true respect for each animal’s personality.
When I’m not walking the beach with our pups or tending my garden, you’ll find me on the golf course or planning our next visit to see our daughter back in Maryland. I love helping families feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away.

Michele –
Michele has spent a lifetime surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, and even a bird at one point. Her deep love for animals has always been a part of who she is. After recently saying goodbye to her soul dog, Piper, Michele isn’t quite ready to welcome a new pet of her own just yet. But until that time comes, she finds joy and healing in caring for yours—offering them the same love, attention, and gentle care she gave to Piper.
Following a fulfilling career in healthcare, Michele retired and moved to Palm Coast to be near her daughter. She's embraced the local lifestyle, spending her free time exploring trails and beaches by foot or bike. She lives by the quote, “The cure for anything is salt water—sweat, tears, or the sea,” which beautifully reflects her calming, grounded spirit.
Michele treats every pet like family, making her a natural fit for the Curly Tail Care team. Her warm heart, life experience, and attentive nature ensure your pets are loved, safe, and well cared for when you're away.

Rose has loved animals for as long as she can remember and brings that lifelong passion to every pet she cares for.
A proud rescue dog mom, Rose understands the importance of patience, compassion, and connection when it comes to building trust with animals. When she’s not caring for your furry loved ones, you might find her lending a hand at her daughter’s flower shop—surrounded by blooms and sharing her calm, nurturing energy.
Rose is truly one of our trusted Pet Whisperers, and we’re lucky to have her on the Curly Tail Care team.

Meet Chrisine-
Born and raised in Boston, I moved to New York to serve with the NYPD, where I became known as the precinct animal lover and was instrumental in rescuing many abused and abandoned cats and dogs — including a widely reported rescue of a neglected puppy. After 9/11, I retired from the force and continued my work with animals by volunteering with the local Humane Society and teaching my daughter to protect those who cannot speak for themselves. Now based in Palm Coast, Florida, I foster kittens and puppies in partnership with the Flagler Humane Society and have a home full of rescued pets. I look forward to caring for your furry family members with the same compassion, vigilance, and dedication I’ve shown throughout my life.
